Dr. Bruce Vernon
Veterinarian
1999 graduate of the Colorado State University – College of Veterinary Medicine. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University. He owned a small animal practice in Chandler for 15 years before opening Market Street Pet Hospital in 2015. Dr. Vernon’s professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and surgery.
Dr. Vernon and his wonderful wife Cherryl share their busy life with 7 kids, 1 son-in-law, 1 granddaughter, 1 grandson, a super dog named Midge, an incredibly friendly cat named Uncle Wendel, a ball python named Leonard, multiple fish, and a salamander. Dr. Vernon is a lousy singer/songwriter, average mountain biker, pretty good griller, and amazing veterinarian.
Dr. Casey Jennings
Veterinarian
Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. As a local product he graduated from Westwood High School, Mesa Community College and Arizona State University. He graduated Veterinary School from Colorado State University in 2011 with his DVM degree. Dr. Jennings served a 2 year, Spanish and Guarani speaking, service mission to the country of Paraguay. He is now married with 4 crazy fun children.
When he is not expressing anal glands at work or changing diapers at home, Dr. Jennings enjoys hanging out with his pets, which include: 4 guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, a dog and a rabbit. He also enjoys playing almost any sport, especially basketball and volleyball. Dr. Jennings is wonderful with people and pets, and is a knowledgeable caring Veterinarian.
Dr. Kaitlyn Parsons-Whitmer
Veterinarian
Raised in Chandler, Arizona where she was able to develop her love for all animals thanks to her parents who allowed all sorts of critters in their home. She graduated from Basha High School then got her bachelors in Science with an emphasis in pre-medicine from Grand Canyon University. She met her husband during her 4th year while attending GCU. They moved to Fort Collins, CO shortly after getting married where she attended Colorado State University – College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in May of 2023. Dr. Parsons-Whitmer’s professional interests include all types of surgery, dentistry, ultrasonography and internal medicine.
Dr. Parsons-Whitmer and her amazing husband, Adam, have a husky/German shepherd named Ozzie and a new Vizsla puppy named Enzo. Dr Parsons-Whitmer enjoys playing soccer and pickleball and loves to snowboard, hike and workout in her free time. She loves her patients and loves seeing the human-animal bond every single day.Dr. Sierra Grubb
Veterinarian
Sierra is an Arizona native who attended Arizona State University for her undergraduate degree. She then spent four years in Corvallis at Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine.She graduated from vet school in 2023 and returned to Arizona to begin practicing. Dr. Grubb has a special interest in theriogenology (reproductive medicine) and loves all animals, especially her horses and her pups, Piglet and Bumper. Sierra is soon to be married to her fiancé, Brandon, who is also a veterinarian in the valley. In her downtime, you can find her riding her horse, Marshall Mathers, diving into a good book, or enjoying time with family and friends. She also has a soft spot for espresso martinis—because life is all about balance and fun!

Erin Salgat
Hospital Manager
Erin has always had a place in her heart for animals of all species from dogs to horses to exotic pets like prairie dogs, which she had as a kid. From a young age she was always bringing home pets, to her parents surprise. Erin grew up around animals and spent a large part of her time working with and training horses in Miami, Florida where she was born and raised. In 2007 shortly after moving to Arizona she started working in the veterinary field with Dr.Vernon, DVM and Dr.Jennings, DVM. In 2015 she was thrilled when she was given the opportunity to help open and manage their new hospital, Market Street Pet Hospital.
Erin married her husband Mike in 2014 and share their love with, Rat terrier, Joey, Boston terrier, Gracie, and her 3 horses Dexter, Suede and Lucy. In January 2019 they celebrated the birth of their beautiful baby girl Claire Jean Salgat.
Christina Angulo
Lead Pet Nurse
Christina has always loved all kinds of animals since she was little. Christina has worked with Dr Vernon and Dr Jennings since she did her internship and has stayed in the veterinary field since 2002. Golden retrievers and cows will always have a special place in her heart. She loves all animals and loves working in the field. She has 3 dogs (Dug , Alf, Kiki) and lots of chickens and a turkey. She was born and raised in Arizona. She married her high school sweetheart Adrian & also has a daughter. On her free time she loves spending time with her family and her little farm. She is always looking into making her farm bigger. She also enjoys camping, fishing, going for quad rides, baking, photography.
Amy Gilbert
Wellness Plan Coordinator
Amy is originally from San Diego, California which is where she met her husband of over 26 years. They have three children, two who are married and one who is currently serving an LDS church mission in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They have one granddaughter who just turned one and is the light of their lives! They have lived in Gilbert for 19 years. Amy has been an animal lover her whole life and loves working at Market Street Pet Hospital. She feels grateful to be part of such a great team doing what she loves.

Haley Kiker
Pet Nurse / CVT
Haley grew up taking care of all sorts of animals. Anything from bearded dragons to hedgehogs to dogs. She started the EVIT Veterinary Assistant program and graduated in 2021. She has since graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program from Pima Medical and has her Associates in Veterinary medicine. She loves to learn new things and treats every patient and person with respect and kindness.
Sarah Lane
Pet Nurse
Sarah is a vibrant animal lover with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. After exploring various places, she found her forever home in sunny Arizona in 2018. She tied the knot with her wonderful husband, Jeremy, in 2020, and together they welcomed their first little bundle of joy in 2022! Starting as an assistant, Sarah quickly discovered her passion for veterinary medicine and has blossomed into a dedicated technician. She loves spending her days caring for animals and making a difference in their lives. When she’s not at work, you can find her enjoying the great outdoors with her family—hiking, camping, and creating beautiful memories. Sarah shares her heart with two playful dogs, Oakley and Beau, who always keep her on her toes and complete their family adventures.
Kirsten Reed

Kirsten is a proud Phoenix native who discovered her love for veterinary medicine in 2018. As a dedicated veterinary technician, she finds joy in caring for animals every day. At home, she shares her heart with her boyfriend, Jacob, and their adorable fur family, which includes two playful cats, Yuki and Snicks, and their gentle St. Bernards, Samantha and Brodie. When she’s not busy loving on her pets, Kirsten enjoys cozying up with a good book, indulging in horror movies, and creating unforgettable memories with friends. Life is an adventure, and she’s here for all of it!
Baylee Searle

Baylee Searle has always loved animals. She is currently enrolled in school at PennFoster for veterinary technician. She grew up in Gilbert, AZ and attended school at BYU for 4 years. Baylee is passionate about dance and loves charcuterie boards. In her spare time she volunteers taking care of horses and loves pet sitting. Baylee has a huge heart and we are so happy to get to work with her!
Devan Perkins
Pet Nurse / Vet Student
Devan is a vet student, husband and father. He currently attends Arizona State University and will be graduating May 2022 with an undergrad in pre-veterinary medicine. He has always had a love for animals! He grew up with dogs and worked with animals on his grandparents’ farm. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Logan and his one-year-old son, Grayson. He likes the outdoors and going out with friends.
Decker Tringham
Pet Nurse
Decker was born and raised in Arizona. He loves all sports except hockey. He served a 2 year mission in Portland, OR. Decker started his career here at MSPH in 2018 in our boarding house. Shortly after he returned from his mission he started working in the hospital and quickly moved up into a tech position.
Miranda Ponzio
Pet Nurse
Miranda was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and has had a heart full of love for animals since she was a little girl. After graduating as a vet assistant from PMI in 2017, she dove into her passion, caring for furry friends of all shapes and sizes. Now, she’s on an exciting new journey studying nursing at Grand Canyon University, where she’s blending her love for critters with a desire to help people! At home, Miranda shares her cozy space with her sweet pitbull, Raspberry, and her sassy calico cat, Hazel. When she’s not hitting the books, you can find her enjoying quality time with her boyfriend, Nick, and laughing with family and friends. Miranda’s infectious spirit and big heart make every day an adventure!
Nevaeh Vigasea

Nevaeh has always had a love for animals. She enrolled in the EVIT Veterinary Assistant Program where she found veterinary medicine is the place for her. She has recently graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Pima Medical Institute for her Associate’s Degree. She will be taking the VTNE at the end of this year to obtain her CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician). She has found a passion for emergency medicine and general practice. She absolutely loves the team here and is excited to see what the future holds for her career.
Shaylor Richardson
Pet Nurse
Shaylor was born and raised in Mesa, AZ, and has been working in the veterinary field for the past 1.5 years. Currently pursuing his dream of becoming a veterinarian, he’s dedicated to caring for animals and their well-being. In 2023, Shaylor married the love of his life, Alayna, and they’re excited to start their own family together! When he’s not studying or working with animals, Shaylor loves to get outdoors, whether it’s playing or watching sports, camping, fishing, hiking, or off-roading. He’s also a bit of a mechanic and loves working on his Toyota. At home, he shares his adventures with his loyal eight-year-old dog, Jake, who always keeps him company on all his escapades!
Jaida Merrill

Jaida Merrill, From a young age, has loved animals and has helped them she graduated from the Evit veterinary assistant program in 2022. She is kind loves nature has two dogs, Ellie and Gabby.
Andrew Tellames
Pet Nurse
Andrew joined the Market Street crew in early 2023. He has been working with animals in a variety of situations from breeding, training, daycare and boarding, and ultimately providing medical care since 2016. He has always had an innate love for animals of all kinds and finds great joy in working with pets and pet parents alike. Andrew was born and raised in Southern California and recently followed his heart to Arizona. He has 4 cats (Sterling, Bill, Wayne, and Judy) currently that he cares for, with hopes to adopt a new dog sometime in the near future alongside his wonderful fiancée, Christina. In his free time, Andrew enjoys watching new movies and shows, discovering new places to eat and adventure around, and playing games.
Lindsay Smith
Kennel Assistant
indsay was born and raised in Arizona. She has grown up riding horses and has a horse named Chrome and two loving golden retrievers named Cassie and Murphy. Lindsay has been pet sitting and training horses for as long as she can remember and has always loved animals. She graduated from High School in 2023 and is going to attend Scottsdale community college for equine science. She started vet med very recently as an assistant and hopes to become a technician someday either working with horses, dogs, etc.
Maresenia Angulo
Receptionist/Kennel Assistant
Maresenia has had a special place in her heart for all kinds of animals since she was a kid. Starting as a volunteer for MSPH, she eventually became interested in veterinary medicine. Maresenia is currently working towards getting a degree in Veterinary Technology through Penn Foster. Maresenia enjoys spending time with her Sheepadoodle (Giselle) and trying different coffee shops.
Lauren Furbee
Receptionist
Lauren was born and raised in Arizona. She is very passionate about animals and loves to help them in any way. Lauren is friendly and outgoing and spends her free time hiking, fishing, and camping. She has a dog named BellaLu and a cat named Ewok.
Allison Tringham
Receptionist
Allison grew up in San Diego and moved to Arizona 2000. Her and her sister married best friends almost 30 years ago and have enjoyed raising their kids together. She has 2 kids and 2 grand babies. Allison has 2 German Shepherds currently and have enjoyed working with them in obedience, scent work and herding. They have always been her running and hiking partners. She has been bringing all of her dogs to MSPH since it opened. Her sister Amy has worked at MSPH since we opened and Allison’s son Decker works in the back as a tech. She is so excited to be a part of the team. She loves the outdoors, traveling, animals, her family and being a grandma!
Lily Thompson
Receptionist
Lily was born and raised in Mesa, AZ. She grew up with chickens, rabbits, bearded dragons, and dogs. On her days off, you’ll find her at the lake or river with family and friends. Lili also has been working at a chiropractor’s office for the past two years and loves helping people and animals get the treatment they need. Lily and her husband are excited to meet their baby girl in December of 2024.
Emma Cromwell

Emma was born and raised here in Gilbert, Arizona. She is currently studying at Brigham Young University-Idaho majoring in Elementary Education. Growing up a veterinarian’s daughter, Emma has always loved animals and has been blessed with several pets throughout her life. She is an outgoing people person who strives to bring joy to clients, their pets, and her coworkers through her work as a receptionist.
